IELTS Exam Report Card validity?

IELTS exam report card is valid for 2 years from the time you have taken the exam. Even if you have some delay in your plans for going abroad, you can use your IELTS score later within this time period.

What are the TOEFL and IELTS?

The TOEFL (Test of English as a foreign language) and the IELTS (International English Language Testing System) are two popular choices of English proficiency tests and are accepted by most universities.

  • The TOEFL is a 4 hour-long test, whereas the IELTS is 2 hours 45 minutes.
  • One of the main differences is the speaking part of the test. For IELTS, you are required to take the exam face to face with an IELTS examiner

But also if you are eligible for a waiver.

If I have never traveled abroad, what should I answer to the question (namely IELTS) concerned with traveling?

Yes, of course, it is. Don’t lie, this will just make you more nervous. It is part two then just explain that you haven’t been abroad so you will talk about a trip to your country. Problem solved.

Free Online IELTS Preparation

What are the free IELTS test websites having good mock-up test and content so I can practice online?

online IELTS Preparation – I have secured an overall band score of 8 with a good amount of practice by means of mock tests from free IELTS test Website. I didn’t stick to 1 reference material but have explored a wide range of sources for the same.

Listening-

YouTube channels – Career zone moga, the ielts listening test, Cambridge tests

But don’t just stick to above, I would request you to practice harder tests than these as in these tests some are easier than IELTS format as well. If you practice hard tests for e.g., from some coaching institute material then IELTS test would look easy to you.

Reading –

You can also refer to tips and tricks on YouTube channel – Asad Yaqub (for solving heading type and True/False/Not Given questions). It’s really helpful.

Speaking –

Again, Asad Yaqub’s channel has great tips.

For all recent questions asked in IELTS exam, you can this website – ieltsliz.com

But the most important thing is practice. Practice by recording the answers and improvise in task coherence, fluency and pronunciation.

Writing – Again you can Free IELTS Preparation Website for all the tips and recently asked questions.

Please make sure that writing and speaking seem easier but all the modules require daily practice and these modules should not be ignored.

If you are applying for a PR, focus on getting a minimum 7 in writing and speaking and 8 in listening. And then reading in GT is quite easy and getting a 7 is an easy job.

Happy reading!!
